The practice became a third wave PMS practice in April 2001 enabling us to recruit a first class team that is committed to giving our patients caring, efficient and high quality care. We hold clinics in a wide range of services including Diabetes, CHD, Hypertension, Ante-natal, Well person, Cytology and many more. The Doctors perform minor surgery in a purpose built minor surgery theatre within the health centre.
The practice registers new patients who reside in and around the Ryhope area, Leechmere, Silksworth and Ashbrooke. Exact boundaries can be explained fully by our reception team.
When registering you will be asked to complete two forms; the first is necessary to register you, the second is to inform us of any medication or health problem you may have.
If you move out of our practice area you will be unable to continue using the surgery. In this event you will be required to find another practice operating in the area you will be living. Please ask at reception for more information regarding our practice area.
The practice operates a zero tolerance policy and any patients who commit an act of violence against any person or staff member, or behaves in such a way that any person fears for their safety, will be reported to the police immediately and will be removed from our practice list.
The Premises
We are situated in Ryhope Health Centre. It is a modern, pleasant, fully equipped building with ample car parking. The building is single storey and offers easy access for the disabled including toilet facilities. There is a Pharmacy and the PCT commission Chiropody and Child Health Clinics in the premises.

When the Surgery is Closed
If you are ill on an evening or weekend you can telephone NHS111 for advice and they will direct you to the appropriate service.
