When you call the practice, you will be asked about your symptoms. If they indicate that you can be best helped by a pharmacist, you will be offered a same day private consultation with a pharmacist close to you. The pharmacist will ring you and arrange your treatment with you.
This is a new service to our region and is supported by the Government and NHS England and has been piloted elsewhere in the country, pharmacists have already seen thousands of patients for minor illness or following a call to NHS 111. The service was introduced to ensure that patients get the right care by the right professional as quickly as possible.
